Market: Both teams to score No
Odds: 8/15 @
Two sides who will be opening their Nations League run on Friday evening, Latvia will host Andorra for what could be a cagey affair in Riga.
Starting with the hosts, while Latvia might not have managed to lay any kind of blow during their World Cup qualifying campaign last year, Dainis Kazakevičs side were enjoying a recent boost last time out. Last seen back during March s international break picking up a 1-0 win away at Azerbaijan in a friendly showdown, the Wolves are in the midst of a four-match unbeaten run across all formats. However, despite playing out a 0-0 stalemate against Norway in qualifying last year, Latvia have continued to struggle with their form on home soil. Despite being last seen in Riga playing out what they would have been billed as a sluggish 1-1 draw against Kuwait, Friday s hosts have failed to win any of their last four outings in front of their own supporters, including a hard-fought 1-0 loss against former world champions Holland on October 8th.
As for the visitors, also last seen back during March s international break picking up back-to-back friendly victories against Grenada and little-known Saint Kitts and Nevis, Andorra find themselves in a very similar position to Friday s opponents. However, also failing to lay down any kind of blow during their World Cup qualifying campaign last year, Koldo Álvarez s side have only gained a reputation for their rather glaring issues on the road. Last seen on foreign soil getting hit with a 1-0 defeat against Albania, Andorra have lost seven of their last eight away contests, a run that stems back to a 0-0 stalemate against Latvia back in September 2020. Likewise, with none of their seven previous meetings finishing with both teams finding the net, we re backing a similar outcome this weekend.
Bet: Both teams *not* to score at Latvia vs Andorra 8/15 for Friday s Nations League matchup @
